Connect the design to the build.

Printed circuit board assembly

Your board does more than carry components. It carries requirements for sourcing, assembly, test, and traceability that need to be understood together. EmergeTech Group connects OEM buyers with manufacturing partners for printed circuit board assembly, helping frame the technical and commercial conversation around your design, build stage, and expectations. Start with your current documentation and the decisions still open today.

01 / PCBA — CONCEPT ILLUSTRATION
A better-defined sourcing conversation

Define the assembly scope

Identify the component technologies, board requirements, and sourcing responsibilities that a manufacturing partner needs to evaluate your project.

Make acceptance measurable

Put inspection, programming, functional test, and documentation requirements into the conversation before comparing quotations.

Plan the next integration step

Clarify whether the assembled board will ship on its own or continue into a harness, enclosure, or complete product assembly.

Prepare the requirements

What should we
review together?

Tell us about your board, its build stage, and the assembly or test requirements you need to discuss. Include the files and revision you have available.

Begin with a high-level overview. Arrange confidential drawing and file exchange directly with the Emerge team.

Prepare a project inquiry

Useful information to bring

  • Design package: Which board files, assembly drawings, bill of materials, and revision identifiers are available?
  • Assembly requirements: What surface mount, through-hole, mixed assembly, or special component requirements should be reviewed?
  • Component supply: Which materials will be purchased by the manufacturing partner, supplied by you, or subject to approved alternatives?
  • Acceptance criteria: What inspection, programming, electrical test, functional test, and traceability are required?
  • Program context: What are the prototype needs, expected order quantities, demand profile, and downstream assembly requirements?
Questions, answered

PCBA essentials.

Is PCBA the same as a bare printed circuit board?

A bare PCB is the fabricated board before components are installed. PCBA is the assembly of components onto that board. Your sourcing request should make clear whether you need assembly only or a scope that also includes procuring the bare board and components.

What should I include in a PCBA request for quotation?

Start with the current bill of materials, board fabrication data, assembly drawings, quantities, and revision. Add your sourcing preferences and any programming, inspection, test, coating, or traceability requirements. If information is still being developed, identify the open items clearly.

Does EmergeTech Group manufacture the assembly?

EmergeTech Group is a manufacturer's representative connecting OEM buyers with manufacturing partners. The manufacturing partner's proposed scope, processes, commercial terms, and project fit are established through the sourcing conversation.
